We are beginning “home group” programs for the new quarter will be starting on Monday, February 9th. This will be an opportunity for your child/children to sign up for a new program if desired. Once your child signs up for a “home group” program, they will attend this program every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. The programs being offered this quarter are:
Club Tech - Signing your son or daughter up for Club Tech is the best way to put them on the fast track to being a technology guru. In Club Tech they learn to do so many fun and interesting things! They will learn to do things such as digital animation, photography, image editing, computer maintenance, computer basics and so much more. Each week they will learn a new lesson about technology and how they can use it in their everyday life. So if you’d like to enroll your child in club tech - where they will not only learn about technology but have a blast doing it - you can rest assured that you wont regret it!!
Imagine Art - Bring out your child's inner creativity. This art program will inspire kids to reach beyond and create art that is unique to them.
Power Hour - Power Hour helps Club members ages 6-18 achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners. The goal of Pour Hour is to work with each young person so we can encourage them to increase their learning opportunities by making good choices in how they spend their after-school hours. Our staff is here to enhance their learning opportunities by exposing them to new ideas, people and places. We are looking forward to the new year and new ways to help each Club member achieve their academic goals.
Brett’s ISCORE Sports Academy - This athletics program is committed to providing a safe, fun, and skill-focused experience for kids of all ages.
Child’s Play - This program is specifically designed for Club members ages 5 and 6 years-old. It offers a variety of activities from arts and crafts, academics, team sports, and an assortment of games.
Music – This program will be exploring instrumental music this quarter. Club members will learn basic theory and how to read music so they can use those skills to create their own music. They will make and learn to play different musical instruments, and will finish the program with a concert displaying all they have learned throughout the quarter.
** Please make sure to sign your child/children up for one Mon./Wed./Fri. “home group” for the new quarter. Sign-up sheets are available at the front desk, or you may email Cristina Lejardi with your choices at clejardi@bgcmv.com.
** Tuesdays and Thursdays will continue to be Club Member Choice days! There will be a variety of activities offered on these days, including Video Games, Power Hour, Athletics, Child’s Play, and our brand new program for the quarter: Photography! Your child/children will have the choice of what activity they wish to participate in, and may switch to a new group each Tuesday and Thursday. You will not need to sign your child up for these programs.
